I have skied Blue Mountain with powder leashes on my skis. Years ago they got pounded....40 inches in 24 hours. I was the only customer on the mountain. Had a blast skiing with ski patrol. It was snowing so hard you could not see your previous run tracks when you got on the lift to hit the next run.
Wish I could still ski.... My mind rights checks my knees can't cash.Kevin Henry

I hear you on the bad knees I need to compress mine just to do a couple runs and I still need 2-3 days to recover.
But how is Blue Mountain? Actually considered going out there last season but didn't seem like they had many trails so I took the trip up to Killington, VT a couple times.Anthony Diamond

I moved to Florida back in 2008 and have not been there since. I skied Blue Mountain and Bear Creek just about every weekend to keep my ski legs on the for season. They are small places, but good to stay in ski shape. Blue has some decent runs. Bear creek is tiny, but ski patrol used to train there so it kept the jackasses out. My frequent favorite spots were Okemo, Mount Snow, and my very favorite Sugar Loaf, Maine. Sugar Loaf hands down is the best mountain on the east coast and now the largest ski resort east of the rockies. You have not lived until you have bombed White Nitro or Widowmaker at Sugar Loaf. Tote Road, Binder, Sluce, and Upper Bitter were favorite runs. The owners of Sugar Loaf own Sunday River, Loon Mountain, and Big Sky. Great group and keep their mountains catered to die hard local skiers
I hate Killington.... place is littered with Massholes.
My knees- there's nothing left from skiing east coast mountains. I have Dr Elvis and his team jack them with cortisone at least once a year.
-Blew out my right shoulder at Mt Snow. Missed a ski trip with Chuck Schwab because of the injury.
-Took 48 stitches to my left left crashing on the headway on Widowmaker at Sugarloaf.
-I have broken too many ribs to count. Hyper-extended both thumbs.
My primary physician in Princeton, NJ was amazed I did not get hurt more considering how much I skied and how hard.Kevin Henry

Even though I don't ski anymore I have my eyes on a log home at Sugar Loaf. My wife would likely never see it as she hates cold weather. I am thinking of buying it to check-out a few times during the Winter and Summer and also let my family use the place.
