So i have a 800 line that is published on my website, social media etc. For the last 6 weeks i have been getting calls from all over the country, and when i pick up it is dead air. I am getting 7-10 calls a day. Never from the same number. Sometime i can hear a loud rushing of air on the other end.

No one is there. And when it goes to voice mail there is nothing left in my mailbox.

I would think if it was an auto dialer, that when they hear my voice it would connect and i would reach someone.

When i call the numbers back, they say they are not working or disconnected.

I know it is a long shot, any idea what is going on here?

Had a call center take my company’s number and use it to spoof as they robocall a ton of merchants at once. Simultaneously they called our main line back-to-back all day clogging up our own incoming calls. It was pure hell. Lasted for 2 days and stopped.
