I don't know if anyone else had this when growing up but in NYC as a kid each year on Halloween eve our school bus would get hit with eggs on the way home from school!!

I didn't have that. Instead my school bus would pull over on some random corner in the middle of nowhere and bunch of overweight college frat bros wearing skin tight short shirts would run inside our bus with about 10-15 kegs of beer while our bus driver turned on hardcore EDM music and we weren't allowed to leave the bus until all of the kegs were empty

we had stuff like that on a holiday called "Purim" but sure beats eggs !!
