I have a lender that may be able to us investment accounts as additional collateral so long as the business does a healthy amount of A/R factoring through the firm.

His broker can handle this for him depending on the type of investment, Unless you are Licensed, you shouldn't be involved in this. and he doesn't need to change brokerages to do this transaction, Most clients dont know this option is available,

Just tell him to call his broker.

What type of investment accounts, is it his money invested or client money ?

We have a merchant thats a licensed money manager, he manages money and gets a percentage of AUM as his pay. On a quarterly basis, we give him a 1 payment advance, scheduled to be paid on the day of his remittance. If this is the type of deal you are referring to let me know, we like these type of deals.
