High commissions for SBA Loans is a misnomer

I work with a SBA Bank that offers SBA Loans from $100K to $150K

If you require larger amounts I'm sure their is someone on this forum to provide input.

Smartbiz has been a good partner to us. A little lag on communication times and between departments but they do get the job done.

I have 6 SBA preferred lender contacts, and all of them pay a point. It's up to you to put a funding agreement in place with the client if you want more but if they are smart and shop around you'll need to be able to justify the pricing either through your service or the funders you work with because they can go to Wells Fargo or their local credit union for an SBA.

For me I have a shops that can get someone funded in 45 days, I have some specialists in franchise acquisitions, I have a couple that are good with owner occupied real estate in Houston, etc.

Napoleon, you cannot charge extra fees than you already do for SBA loans. That is illegal.

You CAN charge an up-front "packaging fee" for the broker to "compile the story" to the bank, but you really need trust and history and good references and some guts. I know people who do it, and they do it on all loans, whether it's an SBA or commercial mortgage or even a factoring deal.
