Indian Call centers
Im sorry, but with all these indian call centers being hired to cold call merchants, this is not a good look for our industry.
The second time this week after speaking with a merchant they called an MCA a "Hagi loan that they can get anywhere"
Not to mention, now that I think about it, I get calls all day from indian call centers offering MCA's everyday and they sound horrible over the phone.
I'm not bias or racist, i just dont think those are good ways to get business IMO.
Maybe I'm wrong and they convert?

I think the industry has a lot more to worry about then Indian call centers, any profitable product sold over the phone will eventually be called by oversees call centers. I've heard wayyyy worse said in NYC broker shops

Anyone who is outsourcing the calling and collecting of sensitive information of prospects is asking for trouble.

you said "they sound horrible over the phone", so do a lot of other folks that you compete with from brooklyn or jersey and many are worse cause they rip them off, no one is gonna ask them to stop. Whining about this is sooooo stupid. Complain about the criminals hustling merchants

I agree with you. There are brokers from jersey and brooklyn that sound disgusting over the phone. When you have merchants calling them "Hagi loans" and you have some Indian that sounds like he's in a call center from bangladesh that can't properly explaina Merchant Cash Advance, calling themselves direct lenders over the phone. Its a bad look.

FYI some reps with accents have funded some of the biggest deals and are top producers.

seriously, how old are you? you continue to talk about how they sound then say its not about the accent, of course it is!!! whether or not they explain the product is not why a moronic merchant calls it a hagi loan. some guys without accents can't explain an MCA or lie to them..

They're all factors, along with others, that contribute to a low perspective of the industry,
but albeit many times from the outside looking in.
I hear conversations from merchants, bashing how ridiculous it is that PayPal offers loan at
1.10 to 1.15 and you would have to be out of your mind to take one of those. I also hear people
stating any merchant with a credit score under 600 should under no circumstances ever receive
a loan or advance, and they feel that giving merchants money who are likely to default is hurting the
economy and making the (successful) people in society have to pay more.
This was a guy who had been funded at least 5 times in the past, but only from commercial institutions
with rates in the 1.05 range.
Having competitors with questionable strategies, offer inferior products/services, is endemic to any
large, profitable and growing industry.
I think the winning mindset is to differentiate yourself from your competitors as much as you can
and focus on this things you excel at.
