Have the addresses been run through the NCOA? Are the addresses also CASS certified?
Have the phone numbers been verified?
Based on what you say the data you are offering is 9 months old. I would not recommend doing a direct mail campaign to data that is that old. And to say a list that is 9 months old is accurate is a false claim.
I guess it doesn't matter if the addresses have been run through the NCOA or if the are CASS certified. The data is 9 months old. NCOA and CASS should be done monthly to a database or just prior to a dataset before the data is used. Your data would not be good for a direct mail campaign and would be suspect for a telemarketing campaign.
Good luck.

Rob, perhaps you can give them the metrics of how data goes bad over that time frame. (9 mos) It is true that it deteriorates somewhat quickly, but maybe you can share you expertise with us. Put a number on it.
I'll throw a number out there. -- 5% What does Infogroup say?

With regards to percentage of change our b2b database changes 35% on average from one month to the next. So if we are talking about data that is 9 months old there will have been many changes to the dataset as well as many out of business records. You don't want to mail to data that is 9 months old. You'd be throwing away money based on inaccurate addresses and not to mention the unknown of the original source of the data.

I was speaking of direct mail and NCOA deliverability rates. I see 10-12% per anum for "known" data. Sometimes much lower. That is a metric that a mailer may or may not find tolerable.
As far as out of business, phone and email, that is bigger a crap shoot.
