    Let’s Work Together!

Your opinion please. When you have a difficult account to fund and another broker offers to work with you what do you consider a fair commission split? How much effort do you expect your co-broker to put in for that commission?

It depends on how much work you have put into the deal prior to having the co-broker involved. Now if you have exerted all possible avenues and it lead no where up until you retained the co-broker, I would assume a 50% commission split and 50% work effort on the co-broker. If you just have the lead and no prior documentation reattained and your doing all the work but using the co-broker for funding connections then 20% commission and the co-broker will assume 25% of the work which all he would do is forward all your docs.
In that type of case as well where you will have dual partnership, an agreement should be set up, of who will be handling what. Then after the work has been allocated, you will then see how you will be able to devise the commission.

don't split your commission ever. They're superbrokers out there who will still pay you top dollar in commission if you are having trouble with a file
