I have no idea what this is about and not looking to click on it....but your headline is a little aggressive and misleading 1stglobal had to do with individuals losing their entire lifesaving... so saying Pearl C. is the new 1st global is a horrible way to word it.

    from the complaint

this was “not a big deal” as it was only a “little fraud.”

This lawsuit is nonsense, they're suing a $50 million company on $200k

    70. As a proximate result of defendants’ breach of their fiduciary duties, Five Hole
has been damaged in an amount in excess of $5,000,000, the precise amount to be determined at
    trial.

    72. Defendants’ conduct was intentional, wanton, malicious, fraudulent and shocking
to the conscience, and was perpetrated in complete disregard of Berkovitch’s rights. Therefore,
in addition to compensatory damages, each defendant should be liable to pay punitive damages
in the amount of at least $1 million, so as to deter them and others similarly inclined from
perpetrating in the future such acts of misconduct as they committed against Five Hole.

    Looks like more than 200K

The allegation that a $50 million company manipulated 100k for "bonuses" sounds a crazy

Agreed, on the flip side. If they did that, what else will come up when their books get audited?

I don't deal with Pearl so I have no dog in this fight. But I will say if they just met their bonus targets and would otherwise miss, it's not about the valuation of the company, it's about the motivations of those who benefit. Hiding unrecorded liabilities by delaying payments could be the way to do it.

If the 100K is the difference between receiving a bonus or not i wouldn't put it past someone to do that

That's why there has to be more to this than what just meets the eye. I would love to be a fly on the wall if/when their books go through a proper financial audit.
