I hope that they keep their website up because I like using their APR calculator.

Considering Carl's dad is a Billionaire and CEO of Capital One, you would think he would have access to cheap capital, if a guy like that goes under, then anyone can go under.

The only thing that would take Breakout down would be a field changing macro event or a scandal. I'd bet against both at this time.

Something happened over there. Word has it that a press announcement is coming soon. Website was still up earlier today however.

    Their underwriting was annoyingly thorough.

I love to hear when funding companies bankrupt or lay people off. Sad but true.

The risks involved in SMB are real and high. They didn’t price risk properly. That said, I certainly hate to see people lose their jobs. Hopefully a minor set back for a major comeback.

There’s a big gap between bank financing and true MCAs that’s not being properly filled. Losing someone like Breakout only hurts more. I’ve seen them do some creative tri-party deals with factoring companies to consolidate advances.

Interesting. I just funded a 24 month deal with them. Monthly payments.

And so you are happy when conservative funders like Breakout go under? A funder that led the charge for higher ethical standards and even used the apr smartbox? Mind blowing
