    Recommendations on Books

I'm in the process of starting my own ISO Shop. Anyone have any good recommendations on books I can read, or listen to on Audible. Not necessarily on starting a shop, just good books to read for a business owner. Many thanks in advance!!!

Maximum Achievement - Brian Tracy (This will help you get in the proper mindset and develop the right habits. I recommend everything by this author!)

Getting Things Done - David Allen (This is the bible of productivity)

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion - Robert Cialdini (This will help you obtain a Black Belt in sales persuasion techniques)

The Personal MBA - Josh Kaufman (This will help give you more ammo to your sales presentations and ask the types of questions that really add value to a business owner)

The book on w/2 to 1099 would be Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad Poor Dad

If you really want to be coached by one of the greatest team builders of all time. 300,000 plus 1099 commission only agents the # 1 person to listen to is

Art Williams Of Primerica ( who was my competition)

    https://vimeo.com/103275654

He will tell you that you need to start off right, have the right mentality going in and that you have to have a system. And you must stay positive. ( push positives down to the team negative up...when there is no UP( boss /supervisor)...that's when you really have to choose what and who you listen to, and hang out with ) Surround yourself with positive people (I would guess that isn't the DF)

I've given many seminars on it and in my words..McDonald's has a system for people to a franchise, you can't change the menu. That's how they became so big. BK followed Mcds when it first started, where ever Mcds opened up, they moved across the street. They figured that if they did all this demographic research and are successful then they might have figured something else right.

So the # 1 thing that you have to do is take the advice of someone who actually did it before. NOt theories, or conjecture. Find a Leader and duplicate their system. I have been saying this same thing since I joined the DF and also for over 20 years. So again, If someone has a w/2 system with huge overhead. Not a good system to follow. And all those people are no longer in the business.

Some people are just self-employed. Unless they have a team of people they will never be able to give the best advice.

    Do First, then teach

What does a 500k a year person do that a 50k a year person doesn't do person ...he works hard and a little bit more

"if you want to become somebody just do it" . if you want to go into business for yourself do it.

Art I was Mr Everything at my last company you don't mean I have to start all the way down on the bottom do you.
..." yep you really got to do it"

That's the primary difference between winners and losers they do it and do it and do it and do it until thr job gets done and they talk about how great is to achieve something unique and not quit like everyone else

Nah, you kept them alive. It was Marcus that stacked 5th MCA positions onto half their portfolio that killed them.

I think technically their inability to raise more capital killed them. I think I read they couldn't raise 2-3 million.

So everything is great giving away money at low low low rates...it doesn't work

    And Nunya

    More advanced spamming wisdom

There is a difference between someone going from w/2 to 1099 because they are forced to, job layoff, downsizing etc and they have no other choice OR a Salespeople who chose that route to have freedom and big commission

You can see the difference in marketing models as well...outbound vs inbound

it's like a business that taking a cash advance right beroe bankruptcy and another for growth

Years into doing commission-only business, watching people start-stop fail to blame someone, start to make it, meltdown with scissors, negativity vs positivity etc

You can tell who is who in 5 seconds flat I was humouring people trying to be nice

( I bet that everyone who corrected my typos quit or will be gone 1 more year...of course, new arseholes show up who know everything)

    Also The little red book
    Top reasons customers buy:
    1. I like my sales rep.

. I believe my sales rep.
. I have confidence in my sales rep.
. I trust my sales rep.
. I am comfortable with my sales rep.

( they have to trust you to buy)

    ___

7 habits of Highley effective people

This one everyone should read...they have free webinars sometimes

    https://www.franklincovey.com/the-7-habits.html

( I would read this one first because all of this has to spring people into action and when you are 1099 if you do not want to pick up the phone no one is going to make you)
    __

None of this will work if you cant Master a phone presentation or face to face...even seo eventually leads back to a phone call which is why everyone is backdooring, or lack of discipline to prospect for new business

So all this said. We are ALL in phone sales.

BAck to the top...Hello mr merchant I can drop your rate and I am a direct lender! ...click dial tone

I am always quoting from those books
