Make friends with your local branch bank reps (loans and mortgages/investments for SMBs). Include all of the branches big and small. Venture out in concentric circles around your location and build a network. Offer them something of value. Offer a seminar (and pay for) a seminar in the branch highlighting the bank's offering and layering in your value proposition toward the end of the presentation for growing businesses whose qualifications are a stretch. Don't stop.
The turnover of street corner bank branch reps is very very high. Why? ---They are out of ideas and budget to grow any book other than foot traffic. Exploit that.
