We work with 2-3 Royalty Funds that will take about 30 days to invest in an opportunity like this, and sit somewhere between debt and equity on the balance sheet. The client has to be made to understand that the folks that will sit behind senior debt on the balance sheet need to do some due diligence- if not an MCA is his only option.

The Bank LOC likely has all equipment and AR encumbered which makes it near impossible to collect if the client decides to stop paying back on the 1.5

Barring those options, I'm with RichardGerard on this - Mezzanine debt is a realistic option assuming the business is clean.
