    Is cold calling dead?

Imagine you are starting a lemonade stand. You want to sell a lot of lemonade. Unfortunately, there are 10 other lemonade stands, on your street alone, selling the exact lemonade you are selling at the same price.

Do you think a good way to sell a lot of lemonade would be to ask potential customers as they walked by if they are thirsty?

Of course not. You would have to have strawberry lemonade, frozen or maybe a reusable cup...lower price or larger serving size.

Unique selling proposition is a big deal. Jeannette hit the nail on the head, you have to have a crazy straw, a cool cup, or splash a little something extra.

Another approach is to take your self off your street where the competition is at and go knock on some doors (marketing). If you don't have 10 other vendors knocking on the same door (exclusivity), then you don't necessarily have to bring the bells and whistles.

Unfortunately, with cash advances, everyone is pretty much selling the same lemonade. Cold calling is dead if you're a small ISO. Nowadays, the only way to survive is to buy large amounts of inbound leads and it only works if you have deep pockets and a lot of manpower.

Cresthill Capital has a many ISO's that send many files that are generated strictly by the cold-calling model.

and BTW as (the) Donald trump says never leave out an opportunity to market yourself.... ....
Sign-up with Cresthill Capital "Double Digit" commissions, that's RIGHT!! (New 2015 structure!).

Cresthill specializes in funding B/C/D paper/construction/home based/logistics/trucking/insurance agencies/large balances/ ALL out of the box situation..if merchant has revenues we try to make an offer!!!!

Cresthill has probably the largest Micro-Funding-Program (less invasive underwriting model) making aggressive offers from 2K and up (CA. minimum 5k).

Fast underwriting with fewest stips commissions paid Tuesday and Thursday.

Sign Up Today!!! (Request an account executive, they will act like your employee on the crestill capital payroll helping you from Submission-to-offers-funding with extreme speed.

Yeah these are more annoying than the posts that go "Hello I'm a newbie looking to start an ISO, can you please spoon feed me all of your trade secrets?"

Question: If cold calling is dead- does that include calling UCCs? No one gets creative anymore or put effort into the cold calls they do. That's why merchants get upset and fed up... Strawberry Lemonade... Sugar substitute... you kind of have to get specific with the people you call... take a look around you. Personalization is key.

Cold calling isn't dead. It just depends on your business model. If you're content with having a revolving door of sales reps working 50 hours a week in order to produce 2-3 weekly submissions and barely make any money then cold calling may work for your office. However, if you're looking for sales reps who will actually make money and want to stick around, then cold calling is NOT the way to go. You have to invest in good inbound lead campaigns.
