What is the best way to get a payoff from National without the funder trying to sale the merchant again?

You can't get around it....its like a trigger lead
    Brokers call for payoff letters

    you hand over your sale

You have to lock the merchant down come hell or high water they want to stay with you

That is advance sales training I won't give on a board

Brokers lose their sales "on the backend" then turn them over to me to pull them out of the fire... I wind up in a Thunderdome battle royal...not worth it.

They do it 3 times I won't help again

Experienced Isos/ salespeople can sometimes pull the sale thru the firefight. Or you learn thru the school of hard knocks.

There is a reason some funders hate some brokers...we didn't sign on to not be accused of tortious interference ...and can possibly take the sale away ( legally)

it's a dog fight no matter which company you request a payoff from. This is also why second positions became a big part of this business. companies decided to stop paying off competitors and just layer the 2nd position and avoid these issues. Retention should understand this and try and send out payoffs when requested to avoid being stacked. Worst case for them, they get an accelerated payoff and can repurpose that cash to a new deal.

CFG Sends payoffs letters, balances letters and 0 balance letters to all merchants upon request.

If you are the broker who brought us the deal, all of that information will be provided if requested as well.
