Just FYI, PO financing is pretty risky. The client needs be doing the factoring with this lender you find, as well.

Hi Red,

Purchase order finance can be tricky. The finance company will only finance the cost of the goods not the entire purchase order amount. The PO finance company will want to factor out of their agreement once goods have been delivered, accepted, and customer invoiced. Most PO finance companies will not do one purchase order. They will likely want to finance all purchase orders for a given period.

PO finance can get expensive. You are better off seeing if the prospect has any current assets that can be financed and set up a revolving facility around those assets. Factor, asset based line, of bank line using receivables and inventory as the collateral. Most will want to be in a deal for a given period as well, but it will be much more cost effecting.
