How much commission does salary account executive receive?

recently found this post from linked in
    https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update...73441943130112

This rep made $300k w/ 10 pts, $250k w/ 8 pts. What would be HIS commission? Any idea?

I did some research and the salary for sales rep (or often called account exec) is around $30k-$35k plus commission.

He's probably keeping around 25-35% of commission. Pretty damn good considering those deals are probably coming from inbound leads which cost a lot to generate.

Actually if he's on salary, it's probably a lower split.

Lenders that offer just 1 point usually have the business model of churning and burning their reps, and keeping the deals for themselves.
Thats a dumb strategy for long term growth, as there's no real foundation to build on. We frown on dumb business tactics, except when it’s Dumbleads.com, then we get all zesty.

Then it's not as stupid, because with us, now you can afford to pay more points to your closers, because your cost per deal is lower and has little to no competition, so you totally rock out like a star.

75K in New York City is a step above homelessness.

look at the cost of living calculator between NY and Florida

If you make 75k in NY you have to make 30k to have the same standard

    https://www.nerdwallet.com/cost-of-l...attan-vs-tampa

So technically if you are making 100k a year here its like 250k in ny

This is why its hard to make people reach for great incomes here...if they make 11k part time that's like 30k in NY dollars
