Renewals - A/B Paper
Hey DF,
Doing a little homework to maximize residual income.
Which A/B paper funders are paying most on renewals? How does that influence where you send your new files? Who is letting you sell your own deals vs. letting their internal renewal team sell?

its all over the map on renewals. my experience has been some only want to fund one and done and if merchant misses 1 ach payment they decline, while others, are more aggressive with retaining accounts. some of the newer name co I tried out don't even seem to have a renewal dept. getting paid the same sounds great but I think the reality Is funders don't make money until the repeat business comes in as they pay a lot upfront first round. try and negotiate a healthy balance on renewals and keep a close watch on the balances and dates they funded to make sure you stay on top of accounts. one of the best in the business in the past on renewals was can capital but they also pay less than some others on renewals but handle all the servicing on renewals. read the fine print on iso agreements on the schedule to. some companies word it to make it appear like you get paid much more than you actually will I.,e. % of funded amount = they can sell it at any rate and you will get a % of that rate.
