    Rob has been a good member here.

    However we're seeing a lot of lead advertisements in the merchant cash advance sub-forum. Those posts should be placed here. Anything in the wrong category will get deleted.

    Of course if you're a lead seller and you really want to get noticed, you should contact us about advertising.

    Just curious, but why do you feel as though placing an ad in the middle of a thread that's discussing a totally different topic, is going to make people take your company seriously?

    In relation to the topic again though, I never personally understood the concept of a "Lead Company". At the core of a Broker's business, the Broker is really just a lead generator for his Lenders, they function as a way to reduce down the Lender's operating expenses/improve profitability.

    If a "Lead Company" claims they are selling high quality (ready to fund) merchants, why aren't they closing their own deals? Maybe it's a difference in terminology, because I believe you have "data" and you have "leads," and I hear some of the lead companies referring to "data" as a "lead".

    Data is just business intelligence, it's information on a business or a group of businesses, and as a Sales Professional it's your job to take that data and create a sales pipeline with it.

    Then you have Leads, which are actual interested prospects in the services/products that you have to offer, and I truly believe those can only be generated in-house or externally through a contracted referral source.

    I agree with your comment and if you look at the threads once the admin said something he revised them all . all i was saying was he is new to the forum and didn't understand it and the admin did exactly what you where trying to do which was to put him in his place .

    Really depends what industry you're in... I had some of my best deals coming in from live transfers but here's how one of them went: This is while I was working at a company for someone else now....

    Consultant: "Hello, I'm looking for a loan for one of my clients who needs money rather quickly."
    Other sales rep: "Well, have that client call us directly, and we'll be happy to help him."
    Hang up....
    Me: "Did you get that number to that guy who called?"
    rep: "Yeah. He's an idiot. He thinks I'm gonna just waste my time with him, and.."
    me: "Let me get that number."

    Long story short, I've gotten loan requests for up to $25M from this guy on more than one occasion, funded his original merchant for $270K, received all types of other business from him, all from a simple introductory phone call that almost went to the garbage!

    Needless to say, I've had countless other connections through live transfers, even though, the majority of them are people pissed off, asking to be taken off the list, or why I'm calling them 20X/day, (when in reality, I've never called them once), or others saying how they pressed 2 100X but still get called every day.

    If you can get passed that frustration, it's incredible the amount of good leads you can get from live transfers, and if you're in the MCA sphere but have commercial loan connections, most of them who come through the live transfers and need a loan actually own commercial real estate.

    and this is why I tested one of the biggest lead generation companies by filling out information on their website asking for 100K for a successful restaurant. And I got exactly what I expected - an email requesting my last 6 months statements and a credit application with the lead generation company's name on the top of it. No wonder why all the "leads" they sell are hard-to-fund industries or a contractor asking for 10 Mill to purchase property who grosses 150K/yr

    in other non-mca forums I participate in, this behavior would have resulted in his posts being deleted and/or banning the poster. No one wants to see this in just about every thread from several small funding companies.
