    Trucking Deal Negs

    I am ready for the barrage that's going to come when I break this deal down, need 45K for another truck he is purchasing, already has 22 in his fleet.

    500k per month average revenue

    average 7 negative days 11 nsfs

    Who is he factoring with? Perhaps we can give a better advance, a better rate, and if he is cash flow positive offer a small term piece on the truck. Makes for a sticky relationship for you going forward and will probably make more money over time.

    For a merchant in that kind of situation I would do a 45K lease for the truck and worry about an MCA when the banks clean up. There are plenty of truck leasing shops that look past banks like that. You can always do a sale leaseback on one of the 22 he already has as well if they aren't leased.

    Advance, we tried going the lease route everyone was declining for neg days and the ones who said yes charge insane rates

    And what type of good rate are you looking for?
    500k trucking with 22 trucks must have another account!

    I hear that it sounds about right. The rates will definitely be higher for that kind of profile but the question to the merchant is can he make money from the transaction with those rates. Sometimes it makes sense. The other option is a sale leaseback on some of the trucks. If he puts up say 4 trucks or a number that is attractive to the funder he could score some decent rates that way. Just over collateralize the deal.
