CRM Tip of the Week - Connecting Salesforce to External Services (Preview)
The External Services feature was announced as part of the Spring ‘17 Release of Salesforce. This product allows you to easily set up connections between your Salesforce org and - you guessed it! - external services of your choosing. You can access the services via a custom flow and all the necessary data will be imported directly into Salesforce.
Practically speaking, what does this mean for you as a Salesforce user? First of all, you can connect to third party services to enhance your Salesforce org, such as credit checks or online purchases. Don’t worry if you aren’t a master programmer; Salesforce has built a setup wizard to guide you through each step. Unfortunately, External Services is still in Beta. Once released, this feature will be very useful to anyone using Salesforce. Stay tuned to our blog for coverage and updates on External Services and other exciting new features.
