100%. If you confront them with "is this your own money on your own books, or are you white labeling" they'll generally be straight-up.
I should note: Midnight has been asked a number of times if he's a direct funder or white-labeler, and he always gave vague answers. That was a big warning sign.Last edited by WestCoastFunding; 12-14-2017 at 01:33 PM.

Setting up an entire backend for Funding and management...... is a huge undertaking.
Yellowstone, and a few other platforms exist....so out of the box you can start funding deals.
This is not white labeling.

Cresthill a direct lender.... sometimes gives white labeled Everest Contracts. I just Funded one last week.
Theres a lot of intertwined things. White Labeling whatever.....
Ive been on the Lending Side. Using someone elses platform is beneficial. Who has the money/time to build out their own? Certainly not me.
The value of Time/Money is a magical thing. The amount of money and time spent building out your own backend..... is not worth it - just use someone elses platform and put that money out on the street.Last edited by ryan $; 12-14-2017 at 02:10 PM.

No, Mantis is a direct funder. Cresthill is a brokerage. If you submit and ask to keep everything on their own paper, they will.
But here’s the thing: mantis/Cresthill is an established player, and you know exactly what you’re getting. When you’re dealing with a white labeler you have no idea how many hands it’s going to touch. And for what?

I guess there's no perfect way to tell. Essentially, we know who all the top players are. If I'm unsure I'll look them up on here. If I don't get the answer I'm seeking - especially when it comes to the new guys - I start off by assuming they're white-labeling. Then I look at the ISO agreement: does it look like the YSC template that we've all seen? When you ask what their box is, and they recite the box of the main funders that allow white-labeling, thats a tell. I also look to how the commission is structured.
