This is a good thing for the industry as a whole. If I had a leak in my office I would want them walked out in handcuffs too.

Backdooring is industry jargon for when a broker submits a potential deal to a funder and that file ultimately leaks out to third parties whom the broker did not authorize to handle the information

First off Mr Isaac Stern is now my favorite person. In New York the jobs are a dime a dozen so to just get fired does not really scare anyone.
My question is if it will stick as a prison sentence or not?

    Yeah, Isaac!

There are breach laws in most states and it will stick if social security numbers or drivers licence numbers are on the data

The only way it can really help long term is if there is an industry blacklist, that every potential employer can run a name against, and see if any company had a problem with them, that had to do in some way with theft, or another reason that would disqualify them for future work in the MCA field.

Only problem is a bad Funder or Employer could blacklist someone who doesnt deserve it.

This is why there are non competes and also malicious prosecution rules or abuse of process.

I recommend hiring people that don't know the abbreviation of MCA. (even if they are correct with 1 letter).... not for purpose of just protecting your own company but when your accepting ISO's files (that they sweat money and more) you have a responsibility of keeping the info safe and secure!.

The last time I vouched for someone in this industry, I was lending $500. That was almost 2 years ago, and I still have not gotten paid back.

i wonder where she was sending the files to. I would suspect to a broker. But if it were to a funder, or debt settlement company this would be really juicy.
