Tech’s next disruption? Small business loans

Very pleasant read. I liked that there were positive things being said. I especially liked "This emerging market is adding momentum to the economic recovery in exactly the area where it’s most needed. And some will say the best thing about it is that the market is driving it, not government"
I know what we do is not charity work, but it's nice to see it recognized as helpful.

"Perhaps the most interesting model is one in which companies like Lendio and Fundera are simply creating their own marketplaces where small businesses can shop and compare loan products from online lenders and conventional banks. In doing so, they’re mitigating one of the biggest problems borrowers and lenders face – search costs."

What a misleading KROCK! They sell off the same lead to ten different folks who all run credit and pound the merchant into submission. Aint no "comparison shopping", they are actually applying to 5-10 places at once

GOOD CALL! These guys are not "marketplaces." There will NEVER be a viable marketplace for MCA - unless there is participation from a broad array of institutional investors. Essentially, an MCA "marketplace" can only exist insofar as NAMAA doesn't exist. Funders have to be dis-intermediated for a marketplace to work.
