Child Support
An ISO I work with has a strong file, but the client is way behind on his child support. Where should the ISO send it?

As a medium sized ISO, the minute one of my funders tells me "No-owes child support" I get rid of the file. Unless they have something I can leverage.

Gov't don;'t mess around with child support. they will freeze that account at will. Funders beware

and if someone is willing to blow off their own flesh and blood,......how easy do you think it would be for them to blow you off? They wouldn't give it a moment's thought

Serious question: If a business is incorporated with say two or more partners, how can the government interfere with that business account at all, even if an owner owes child support?
These are business accounts, not personal accounts. I can understand Sole P and maybe one owner LLCs or something, but what about major companies that have multiple partners and owners, how can they pop in and do that? Seems like the business would be able to protect that sort of thing from happening no?

if the main owner (presumably 51% or more) is signing off on the contract....and has that sort of baggage?? Is that someone you want to entrust your money too?

There are a few funders that will take a look at this provided the owner is willing to use the children as colllateral. Depending upon age and condition, you can usually get the children appraised between $30-75K a pop with a facility at 70% LTV. Clearly it's not for everyone, but it is an option.

certain things don't need to be disused on phone or a forum. If someone has a file and find out for themselves.

^ You were asked a very simple "yes"/"no" question. If you are a man of few words you would have answered with one of those words.

It's true, Marcus is a man of few words. He won't provide a yes or no answer because he doesn't want to be seen as advertising Mantis' services. He's not shameless like that.

I was just about to send over a file and i decided to call first. The lady who answered said she is an underwriter and they will not fund someone behind on their child support.

Or fund after a few days through back channels after the broker gives up on the file. Great risk mitigation technique for some funders. Don't doubt me.

You can do all the back peddling you want Marcus but Ricky here has already confirmed that your company will discuss items like this over the phone. So there is hole number one. As much as I would like to continue this belittling of you, I have other things to do and you are not worth my time. West coast does a better job with sarcastic posts anyway.

^Yup. All about who gets the most eyeballs on files in high risk and whipping 'em around. Still goes mostly unchallenged. Kills newbies.
That will change.
