This is actually a very good option, and the first funder that popped into my mind when reading about buying 2nd positions.

So, they will payoff 2nd and take over 2nd position without a 50% net rule? What about 2nd and 3rd while taking over 2nd, is that doable? I used to have a Lender who did that, but sadly those days seem to be over....
