PayPal/Swift
Very curious, why Swift? Understand PP's play here to expand their working capital offering, but I can't say I've read anything about Swift that makes me think they add value to PayPal. So what exactly is PayPal buying here?

People shopped deals. They will have a huge data base and lists of some of all the Funders clients
Prepare for mass marketing efforts
This is where the Isos and Brokers who can sell a Fridge to an Eskimo comes in handy

I have to imagine the play for PayPal is not data. I would guess PayPal has more data than most MCA/lenders in the space with the exception of maybe ONDK and Funding Circle (maybe YSC).
Not surprising that Swift cut off ISOs when they did. Probably to show a potential acquirer that they can grow without 3rd parties. My guess is that this move is for sales and credit. Combine Swift's direct sales and credit knowledge with PP's data and capital and you have a strong company.

And yes, the price was probably right. Guessing it was a heavy stock deal.

The deal will enable PayPal to start offering term loans of up to $500,000 to its larger merchants and take advantage of Swift Financial’s data capabilities to lend to companies that may not be long-time users of its services.

You can't speculate on valuation. PayPal was already working with Swift, has a ton of cash and Swifts original VCs had been in for maybe 10 plus years. Maybe It was great for Swift investors, maybe not. We can expect more $ thrown at marketing reaching untapped merchants thus creating more funding and more new UCCs for stackers to call on. Net net. PayPal marketing dollars via Swift with be a huge lift to the entire funding chain.
