Insanity
A merchant just left me a message saying he won't pay prior to court proceedings because....and I quote verbatim...
" Do you know how much money is needed to feed my cocaine habit? I have to make sure my priorities are set. You may think I'm crazy but I love my cocaine and don't play games. Don't call me again. The courts will understand!
You don't think the judge does coke?!
My lawyer is ready to fight you."
I laughed for an hour straight and I cannot wait to read the motion for dismissal his lawyer will be filing.
I mean.....WOW!

You do realize he isn't going to claim "cocaine habit" but rather heir "drug addiction disease" which more and more is being used to gain leniency and or outright getting them off the hook. This isn't a slam dunk by any means, especially when the lawyer of the merchants spins it into a case of them not being able to pay, though they wanted to, because their "disease" made them unable
