Today, 12:42 PMThere is a signature loan where the business/assets can be attached. A personal guarantee loan, the lender can come after personal assets. I think there is some confusion about this. Explain it to your borrower. You can do cash do cash out equipment as a signature loan and not a personal guarantee.

I've called three different people, their main line and I sent an email the other day regarding a renewal that was Funded(Confirmed Wire Sent) a few days ago. Last deal with them, they dragged feet for over a week on commission payment. Been working with them since 2019 and only work with A tier lenders to avoid issues like this. Today, 11:05 AMPretty spot on here. I think Bluevine has/had a decent product, but like a lot of things, crap brokers tend to ruin a lot of things. Bluevine was never easy to deal with, a lot of rep changes, sloppy behavior etc. They are one of only a couple funders/lenders we had problems with in that area in many years. We stopped using them right before covid, and am even more glad now since I am not part of the getting stiffed crowd.

Today, 10:07 AMSo I looked up a few of their account reps at Bluevine, and some of them have indeed moved on, but others have stayed on. That was pretty low to just cut us off without at least paying residuals on the existing files. It's within our contracts, but to use us as a springboard to merchants in and then just cut us off was pretty low. That being said, I don't think many brokers in our circles liked them as much as I did, since brokers were constantly stacking them or using them to double-fund and saying "you have a term product AND a LOC now!" when Bluevine would just cut off the LOC when they see the MCA there, so their broker channels were not probably very profitable.

Today, 09:49 AMWe fund previous defaults if they have MCA pay history post default. As a general rule we require the default to be satisfied, but in some cases we'll fund an open default if they have good MCA pay history post default.

Today, 09:44 AMA second position on seasonal business is the worst option with high factor rates and daily payments. I realize that is the mindset of most here but please consider looking at options that an offer monthly payments at much lower rates and payments. Cash out on equipment....maybe 20% and 3 years+ (fund in a week) Hard money real estate 1% a month interest only. Personal loan might be 12% monthly payment. As Elon mentoned A/R aging financing, cash from contracts are also better choice options.
