    Who funds used car dealerships?

    And any advance to revenue restrictions... meaning they can only take a max of X% of gross sales.. etc..etc..

    Unfortunately, from what I have seen, these deals go bad... at an absurd rate... like, 1/3 of them default... scary business...

    Rob, I am guessing that most of those are probably renewals on their existing good car dealerships they have funded in the past. These deals perform so poorly I'm shocked anyone is taking on new ones. I could only see the risk tolerance making sense for 2-3 month programs, but even then it is a risky deal.

    Car dealerships have the smallest margins, plus you're dealing with used car salespeople who will tell you anything for money. In my experience ive seen an almost 30-40% default rate in this industry.

    Who funds used car dealerships?

    I own a used car lot in CA. Its too bad other car dealers make a bad name for the rest of us who are responsible and play by the rules. I got an advance from Main Street biz loans via WBL for 200k. I had a KILLER April while competitors struggled. Anyway maybe one day car dealerships will be able to get lenders again.

    Retail Capital will fund New and Used car dealerships. We require a minimum of 50K in monthly deposits and the deal has to be clean to qualify. We are not aggressive with the offer, however we will get them done.
