Successful Merchant Cash Advance Firm Seeks Collections Attorney

6th Avenue Capital LLC, one of the first vehicles providing access to the Merchant Cash Advance (“MCA”) is seeking to hire an in-house collections attorney.

POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Firm is seeking an experienced attorney to advise on collections strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation, specifically in the MCA industry. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in collections. Primary responsibilities include:
• support risk management of investment portfolio;
• assess likelihood of recovery;
• online investigation;
• realizing upon property subject to enforcement of the judgment by levy, garnishment and other lawful judicial remedies;
• conducting a judgment debtor examination;
• filing a proof with any bankruptcy case

Other responsibilities include:
• defending any action commenced against the Firm;
• prosecuting or defending any appeal,
• making any motion to withdraw as counsel which is granted by the court.

QUALIFICATIONS
• JD
• Demonstrated and successful track record
• Resourceful, self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong financial background and underwriting experience
• Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment
• Experience with alternative investments is an asset
