How it works is he convinces the merchants who have advances out to default on their outstanding advances and hey pay him a big fee for essentially doing nothing. The results are that the funders get screwed out of their capital but the merchant gets screwed over even more because he just paid a hefty fee to someone to just default on his advances and end up blacklisted from ever getting an advance again and in collections which he easily could have done himself without paying a fee to anyone.

Sounds like those attorneys protecting homeowners from foreclosure back in the mortgage decline days. Some People paid $800 to $1,000 a month to Attorneys for months and still got foreclosed

Many people paid way more than $800-$1000 (like a few G's) to loan modification shops and got foreclosed on anyway.
