Custom Furniture - Why is it restrcited for Processing?

Can someone help me understand what the risk or drawback is for processors in approving specialty or custom furniture stores? Only reason I have received is that orders can sometimes take several weeks-- but I still don't understand the risk there. They are generally strong in volume, and my merchant in particular has extremely clean bank statements and healthy cashflow.

Hi Ticket That's about it. One charge back for some disgruntled customer who ordered dark blue instead of light blue, may ***** about a month later. Somebody just got free furniture!

The bigger concern is that anything that is custom made and paid for can be charged back if not up to the standards of what was expected.

Learned this the hard way back in 2009 - 2010

Thanks, I did consider the high ticket/chargeback possibility. I would just expect that it has to be so frequent an occurrence for processors to have, by policy, a restriction on the whole industry. This merchant's banks are clean and chargebacks are for standard range, not necessarily high so far as custom furniture goes. I was meaning to talk to Vision but thanks for the Benchmark recommendation as well.

That's exactly why. Custom anything is incredibly high risk due to the chargeback potential.

Hey Quickfunder. Any custom business is high risk, but we will consider them all. You can send the info to isosupport@swipebms.com and we will take a look at it.

Custom anything is high risk. People charge back all the time, because they claim it didn't live up to expectation
