Where Are You Finding True A+ Merchants Right Now?

Looking to level up the quality of merchants we’re bringing in.

For those consistently closing A+ paper (strong deposits, clean accounts, minimal/no stacking)—what’s been your most reliable source?

    Specifically:
    • Are you generating these in-house (Google, SEO, referrals, etc.) or buying leads?
    • If buying, which vendors have you found actually deliver true A+ profiles (not recycled/stacked files)?
    • Any success targeting specific niches (medical, insurance, professional services, etc.)?

Not looking for volume—I’m focused on quality over quantity and building long-term relationships with fundable businesses.

Appreciate any insight from those doing this consistently.

You came on here to ask for advice and then answered my question with a question.

    Appreciate the call-out, that’s fair.

To answer your question, I’m flexible on budget if the quality is there. I’m not chasing volume or recycled files. I’d rather pay more for clean, fundable merchants (strong deposits, minimal stacking, real intent).

Right now I’m generating a mix in-house (Google, referrals, some outbound), but I’m looking to tighten that up and scale quality.

If you’ve got vendors or channels that are consistently producing true A+ profiles, I’m open to testing, just want to make sure it’s not the same overworked data everyone else is hitting.

What have you seen actually convert at a high level lately?

That's not true I don't mind offering my input. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it.

You're doing everything you're supposed to, but probably not spending enough. Hence why I asked about budget.

On your paid ads, you need somebody who really knows what they're doing, and you have to be spending a lot to capture enough opportunities to pay for your ad spend. Once you're confident in who's running your marketing, then you can make it rain leads. Next step would be you have to make sure sales team can support it or you'll get crushed.

On the referrals, those are where you'll receive the quality over quantity leads. No cash output, only pay when deals fund. Higher avg approval size. Bankers, CPA's, etc.

Outbound works too, depends on how shady of a lead list you can buy.

You can also buy leads from vendors like Lendingtree/Businessloans.com/Nerdwallet like most companies do, they're just highly competitive. Low conversion, but for folks who can't figure out their own paid ads or folks who just need a large quantity on top of what they're already producing. Lot's of mixed reviews on these leads.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

David, obviously your competitors in here aren't going to help you in this capacity.

Check your private messages. Just sent you a message there.
