For a startup, try Slim if he's a homeowner and needs up to $50k. However, if the other entity is 2 years+, then they can probably cross-collateralize it.

Startups in farming are tough for traditional banks since they want 2+ years of financials. You might have better luck with local credit unions or farm credit associations, they sometimes look at personal income and collateral more than revenue history
