Lending Club 1099 forms do not require a password. There is no need to give your accountant your LC password, as your LC password has nothing to do with your 1099.

When you say you "sent" the 1099 forms to your accountant, just exactly how did you "send" them?

LC lets you download your tax forms in PDF or XLS format. XLS is Excel format. You might supply both to your accountant and let them use whatever they prefer. Neither require a password to open.

What is the Method of sending the 1099 Files in an upload-able Form ?

I sent my Tax Attorney / Accountant the 1099 Files.
She asked for a Password to open them so she can upload them.
Obviously I do not wish to give out the PW for my LC Account.
She suggested to get the Files in Excel Format.
I do not have Excel, and I use a MacBook.
I also do not understand why they require a PW to upload them if they are sent in the Format provided by LC !

Any Suggestions ?
