Why don't you just sign up with the funders yourself and not pay another broker a fee.

Someone you trust in your circle that has the people you can't get (such as Ondeck, Mulligan etc). I would not do it with ANYONE you do not trust as they will pocket renewals, LOC draws etc. Youll have no transparency and get steam rolled.

True. Super brokers=No renewals. But, nobody really renews anyway. ROK is pretty safe.

Im with National Business Capital. We pay on renewals. In fact all deals we work get tracked back to your partner portal so you would know if the renewal was funded or not. Happy to have a further discussion if interested. We've done $2 billion since inception in 2008.

Not sure I can agree there, I make a ton off renewals.

Thanks! We pay on all renewals, and on every single draw when we funds LOCs!

One thing I hate in this space is people vouching for people who really don't fund that much. Black tie doesn't fund much. They can't close for ****. Why say he's a good superpower, when, he's likely never worked with you. What does he fund with tmrnow? 2 units or 1 month a month ariel? Work with rok or national business capital. Those guys mean business. Black tie funding is a joke. F*** outta here.

What does he fund with you? 100k/mo? Why are you vouching for him? Where are the isos that broker through him? Why don't they vouch? Has anyone ever been paid a commission on a file larger then 100k by blacktie through co brokering? Please step forward.

The reason you fund with companies like Matt's is because when someone like perlman @ blacktie funding passes away from a drug overdose, or dies while dui, NBC will continue paying your renewals. They're a household name. If matt passes away, his boss will pay you. If Mark does a few too many lines this coming weekend, or buys a bag with some fent in it, your renewals die with him. Think wisely before working with people, strangers refer to you. No one does favors, and nothing is free.

HOLY ****! What did I wake up to?!

For your information sir Mark is a family man and his office staff are salary and they have their **** together. No one is doing lines of anything and they've been around for some time. I am a big person who doesn't take recommendations or referrals bc no one has a leg to stand on and you're right - we've all been there where we've seen the worse but I feel we are in the era of more responsible relationships and there is a very small circle out there that makes money and sticks together and doesn't have 99% of the issues everyone talks about.

Calm down with the darkness when good people are trying to bring some light in for once. ****.

I have. I can truly show proof along with many others but there is a reason why I work with him. #1 - Having an ISO Company is one thing - doing all the work for each dept. of an ISO business is another. Even though I have great relationships and can be a social butterfly - my relationships are stronger as a duo and I have help with organization and keeping up with everything as I grow. #2 - Imagine being shot down by a Funder because you dont have a bull pen sales floor but you bring in healthier and bigger deals then them and they close. As "just another Broker" out there, Funders discriminate against the only MCA Companies and mostly look at volume players without understanding if the ISO/Broker is a marketing professional or has other origination means that cold calling, texting, or buying packs. #3 - Work with a Company and people you want to talk to everyday and trust. How many times have you worked with a Funder and you don't have a good ISO rep relationship or feel you're thrown to to the back? I never have that with Blacktie.

The bigger super brokers, though have been around for a long time etc. may not be your vibe. I don't feel comfortable being a DAC #1918719 prisoner or a super super broker matching hat shirt underwear type of Broker. This industry has a very weird way of making things feel cultish and the egos are something we all don't want to deal with.

People work with us because we provide value. We work with SBA lenders, accountants, cc processors, brokers, and more. They would all go elsewhere if they didn't like how we worked or how we paid. Really, we don't compete with ROK or NBC. Those are the big boys in the space. We operate differently and pay differently, and it works for our people.

Typically the most angry fund the least, or have "tight" relationships with firms like Vader.

Mark Pearlman is good people. Started out by me when he first came into the industry and he always operated with integrity and 100% honesty besides for being a sick closer. One of the few who after working by me and starting his own shop, never once went after his deals that funded while working by us. Honesty, in business and more importantly in this industry are hard to come by. Is he ROK or NBC? Not yet but rest assured he will get there. Get in now while its cheap.

Mark is a good guy - I've been to his office and he runs a solid operation.

My 2 cents: ROK, 50/50 split. I think NBC is 80/20 split? 20 to the broker? Go with ROK for safety and sanity.

THEY ARE BOTH GREAT SHOPS ... Some of the wisest brokers are at NBC so I'm certain the math works out for them... its not about the split its about the take home!
