Use AI-Driven Cold Email To Generate Quality Leads at Scale
As a small business funder, lead generation is the lifeblood of your business.
But with so much digital noise, how do you get noticed by the right businesses?
The answer is using AI-powered cold emails to make your outreach more effective.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Why Relevance Matters in Cold Outreach
Why being relevant is key. Think about this: if you see someone with an untied shoelace, mentioning it isn’t rude- it’s helpful. Your cold emails should do the same thing. They should address a specific need or opportunity for the small business you’re emailing.
For instance, if a business has recently expanded, you could congratulate them on their growth and suggest financing options for their next big step. This makes your outreach feel natural and helpful, not annoying.
Our AI cold email systems do this on autopilot.
2. Setting Up Your AI Driven Campaign
Start by building a list of potential clients who fit your ideal profile. This list might include businesses in fast-growing industries or those with a certain level of annual revenue. Make sure your list is enriched and includes key details like business names, owner names, and email addresses.... we'll take the guess work out for you and give you the data/list to use for your outreach.
Next, write your email. Be clear about what you’re offering—maybe a special loan rate or fast closing financing options. Structure your email like this:
- A personalized greeting
- An opening line explaining why you’re reaching out
- Your offer
- A clear call to action (CTA)
3. Using AI for Personalization
This is where AI tools like Clay come into play. Use these tools that will gather extra information about your prospects automatically. For example, you might find out about recent business successes or plans for expansion- perfect for personalizing your emails.
Set up your email template with dynamic fields. Instead of "Dear Business Owner," use "[Owner Name]." AI can even help create personalized comments, such as "Congrats on your recent storefront expansion in [City]!", AI can personalize whatever data thet it finds on the prospect and automatically insert it into the email.
This is changing the email game, personalization at scale, take advantage of it now though- because like all new lead gen tactics it will get played.
4. Writing with AI and Optimizing Your Email
When writing your email, start with a personalized greeting. Your first sentence should mention something specific and relevant to the business, like "I saw your company was featured in [Local Business Magazine] for your innovative approach to packaging."
Link your offer directly to their needs. For example, "Given your recent growth, you might be interested in our flexible financing options designed for expanding [Type of Business] like yours."
Finish with a strong CTA: "Fill out our simple application online here, and lets discuss how we can support your next growth phase"
To make sure your emails get delivered, use SpinTax to vary your emails. This prevents them from being flagged as spam. For instance:
"Hi [Owner Name]" could be "Hey [Owner Name]" or "Hello [Owner Name]"
You can also use liquid syntax to make your emails dynamic depending on the time or day. On Monday, you might say "Hope you had a great weekend!" On Friday, you could say "Hope you have exciting weekend plans!"
Our cold email templates are written to bring in applications from high revenue companies that need funding fast, they are so simple, but extremely effective. When you read them you'll have an 'Aha moment' for sure!
5. Launching and Monitoring Your Campaign
Choose an email platform that supports these dynamic features. Schedule your emails to be sent at times when they’re most likely to be read, based on your recipients' time zones.
After your campaign is live, keep an eye on important metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and response rates. Use this information to adjust your approach. Maybe emails sent on Tuesday mornings get the best results, or mentioning a business’s recent achievements increases engagement.
6. Keep Improving
The great thing about using AI in your cold emails is that you can always keep improving. Use the data you collect to fine-tune your messages, targeting, and timing.
By using AI-driven cold emails, you’re not just blasting out generic messages—you’re starting meaningful, personalized conversations with potential clients.
Remember, your goal is to be helpful and relevant, not pushy...
...after you get them on the phone, then be a little more direct, but when selling in print- ones subconscious always has to be massaged.
If you don't have time to do all of this, jump to the front of the line and let us help you scale.
Right now AI Driven Cold Email is the most efficient and cost effective way to bring funding packages in at scale.

When sending cold email you should use dedicated Servers (IP addresses)...
In case anyone is wondering about the difference between shared servers (used by companies like Mailchimp) and dedicated servers (used in cold email campaigns), here's a quick explanation:
Imagine a school with shared and personal lockers-
1- Shared Servers (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact):
Like shared lockers used by multiple students. If one student hides contraband, all users might get in trouble. If one user misbehaves, everyone's access might be restricted.
2- Dedicated Servers for cold email platforms:
Personal lockers. You're the only one with access, solely responsible for contents. If you keep your locker free of contraband, there is no way you can get into trouble due to another's actions.
The key differences are-
Reputation
Shared Servers: One bad actor can harm everyone's reputation. In the case of email, that one bad actor would be known as a SPAMer just blasting people all day
Dedicated Servers: Your actions alone affect your reputation.
Usage:
Shared Servers: Best for emailing your existing contact list who know you.
Dedicated Servers: Better for cold email campaigns to strangers.
Control:
Shared IPs: Limited control over reputation, because someone else on your shared IP can hurt your reputation and that in turn will inhibit your ability to send emails that land in the Inbox.
Dedicated IPs: Full control over your sending reputation.
Shared IPs work well for personal use, small businesses, or emailing existing contacts with basic communications.
Dedicated IPs offer more control and better delivery rates for cold emailing, making them ideal for reaching out to new prospects and selling products and services cold.

Dedicated Servers: Better for cold email campaigns to strangers.
IMO - I would never recommend blatant spamming - even purchasing a block of I.P.'s -
Secondly, within in the industry, it is not necessary. Within a short period of time a Sales Broker or Shop
can build a warm list of merchants that will not object to a weekly communication.
Blatant Spam will have you running the risk of being Blacklisted by the likes of Spamhause.orgDave Lambert, Business Development

As someone who sends thousands of emails a day, I respectfully disagree with your stance against cold emailing.
There's substantial evidence that cold emailing is an effective and legitimate marketing strategy:
Success rates: According to a study by Woodpecker, properly executed cold email campaigns can achieve open rates of 45-50% and reply rates of 10-15%. These numbers demonstrate that recipients are indeed engaging with well-crafted cold emails. On some campaigns we see open rates as high as 80%.
Preference: A study by MarketingSherpa found that 72% of consumers prefer email as their primary means of business communication.
Legal compliance: Cold emailing is legal in many countries, including the US, when done in compliance with regulations like CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL. When following these guidelines, as we do, it ensures that your practices are not considered spam.
Targeted outreach: Our cold emailing strategy uses data-driven targeting and AI personalization. This approach is far from "blatant spamming" and instead focuses on reaching the right prospects with relevant messages.
Industry standard: Many successful B2B companies, including Salesforce, LinkedIn, and HubSpot, use cold email as part of their outreach strategy. We work with a lot of B2B companies including marketing agencies, recruiting agencies, funders/lenders/ISOs, that generate high quality leads at scale. We only send a cold email to someone you'd want as a client; we call it reverse cherry-picking.
Building relationships: Cold emails can be the first step in building valuable business relationships. A survey by RAIN Group found that 82% of buyers accept meetings with sellers who reach out to them via cold email.
By following best practices, respecting opt-outs, and providing genuine value, cold emailing is an effective and reputable marketing tool, far removed from the negative connotations of spam!
That should give you enough info to get you started in your education on best cold email practices-
Now, your turn- go and do some current, relevant research.
Finally you started your post with IMO...
I'm curious: What first-hand, relevant, and recent experience have you had with list building or cold outreach that has shaped your opinion?Last edited by GrowthHacker; 08-15-2024 at 06:25 PM.

Ed- Gee , I don't know - at one time I was OM for a very large NOC that handled over 500 servers - all sending out SPAM.
We initiated the technique of spoofing and rotating Blocks of I.P. Addresses - If the walls would talk
We had a team that purchased , traded, borrowed Class D licenses - it was the wild wild west days.
BTW - You can claim whatever you want - Bit I would challenge this stat 40% to 50% Open Rate
I have no clue who Woodpecker is but I think they are smoking some good stuff.
