    Who's hopping first positions?

Like the title says, who's hopping 1st position fundings? Coming in as a 2nd with very little payment history. My regular guys like to wait for atleast 3-4 weeks of payment history. Who can fund days after the first position funds?

Any offer of ours that gets beaten by a competitor we will hop/stack same or next day as long as the holdback is not too high.

this post and replies from the same funders that are complaining about 10 day deals is exactly what is wrong with the industry
why is it okay to ”hop” someone that just put their money in the deal?

everyone is at fault for the way this industry is

True. Funders love to blame brokers.... Brokers love to blame funders... The truth is, there is stupidity and dishonesty on all levels....

    I can not disagree here.

But the complaints on the "funders" mostly are to those you either have never heard of, never seen, or barely worked with.

I have seen "reputable funders" do extremely unscrupulous things both to merchant and to broker. Time and time again.

IMO in order to stay 100% honest in this industry, you need constantly work on yourself.

Thinking of yourself as an honest person, doesn't make every thing you do automatically honest.

And the opposite is true as well.... (usually harder tho) Just because you did something wrong in the past... you dont need to let that dictate, how you handle yourself in the next situation.

I still send 10's of thousands of dollars in commissions yearly... to a now closed broker shop that I worked at in 2019.. with the same 70/30 house split. Yes I send 70% of the commission!! that was the deal I made up with them leaving.

Would they know if I close a deal from their old leads? No
Do I have 20 reasons to justify not sending ? Yes

Does that make me an honest person? I hope so

    Who hops first positions?

    Capybara does
They have 102% of the isos sending deals in every day
Why they just signed up 82 ISO's 5 minutes ago who sent in a trucking deal and they funded it right behind an auto dealership.

They stacked a 1st position before the merchant even filed an EIN

They've been in the space for 60 years and the only people who have bad things to say about them are the people who clean their offices.

Stacking a merchant any any time is really not a good thing. Funding the merchant days after they take one is horrible on the brokers funders and merchants end. The first position funder is giving the deal based on a first positions risk of only having one deal and then the merchant goes out to take another position. The second position is giving a higher rate and shorter term knowing the risk that there is two positions. What usually happens when the merchants revenue hs issues the bigger first position payment bounces and the smaller second position payment usually clears. It is hard to trust anyone in this business.

I couldn't agree with you more -- Your biggest issue with stacks is that you're stopping at 2. You need to get the merchant a third position or you're really screwing over the first position.

    Point Blank

There are two sides people can choose to be on in this industry

You have a side that looks after the best interest of the Merchant & you have the other side that looks after their own best interest.

    Which side are you on?

9/10 times these are the same merchants you see a few months later trying to figure out how they managed to get 8 more positions

Torro Funding will hop same day as long as we believe the merchant can maintain both positions.

Please an email evan.ensign@torro.com, and we can get an iso agreement over.
