We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Underwriter to join our growing company. In this role, you will perform comprehensive financial reviews and in-depth analyses of Employee Retention Tax Credit Funding Applications for both private and public companies, ensuring compliance with federal and industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting detailed reviews and analyses of applications for accuracy, quality assurance, and adherence to risk criteria
Completing complex and in-depth business financial reviews on private and public companies, evaluating their financial health and stability
Analyzing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents to assess risk and make informed decisions
Basic understanding of the filings of publicly traded companies, including where to find them and what information they contain
Evaluating clients' credit data, IRS documents, and background information to determine the degree of risk involved and provide recommendations
Comfortable making large financial decisions based on thorough analysis and assessment of risk
Recording inspection results in CRM and collaborating with the Support Team to address any issues
Preparing comprehensive summaries of findings and recommending approval or denial of applications
Presenting and communicating findings to executive leaders when applicable
Identifying areas for improvement in underwriting processes and procedures

Requirements:
Must have work references with Employer contact information
Must have at least 5-7 years of underwriting experience
Expertise in pulling and analyzing Experian for credit report data and CLEAR for background report data
Background in understanding IRS documents and tax-related regulations
Strong understanding and ability to analyze balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents
Familiarity with the filings of publicly traded companies and the ability to locate and analyze relevant information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively present and communicate findings to executive leaders when applicable
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Teamwork and collaboration
