I Imagine in 2022, new underwriters pay is equivalent or less than 1K a week

An experienced underwriter rate is based on the shops circumstance and the underwriters experience in shops targeted audience. Ranges from 1K-5K weekly. This may be a mixture of incentives. If you’re a freelance underwriter like me you’ll charge per file and incentives based on the shop. But those fees are based on said underwriters knowledge, like I would charge specific rate per file if said shop wants a 10% default rate

Somewhere in the park of 50-60K with no training, an actual good underwriter should be making 90K+ with additional benefits like syndication

Problem is that most underwriters as an industrywide standard are overpaid and bad at their jobs
