    China

    Question for a fun Monday!

So a company that registers Chinese domain names sent me an email that someone wants to register abfunders.cn and .com.cn, .net.cn and .org.cn
The company who does Chinese domain names suggests that I register them first to prevent them from being taken and confused.
They told me that they first legally have to ask permission and if I any business in China, which I obviously do not.
It seems like a legit company who's emailing me, but do you think it's a scam to get them to get me to spend money on these domain names? I don't know how much they want, they said that I can request their pricing list.
    Anyone else encounter this?

These type of emails occur on a regular basis - ignore and delete is my recommendation.

It’s a scam, bro. I’ve been getting this for years. Yeah, they just want you to spend money on those domains.
