Question Anyone accept credit/debit card for payment from merchants?

Anyone accept credit/debit card for payment from merchants?

I was debating looking into it but I've heard horror stories of merchants making payments w/credit card and then they end up disputing it after the fact. I know debit cards would be better in this sense, but I'm still not sure about the whole thing.

    Thoughts?

Credit Card for-sure not. Too easy to dispute payments, even after the fact.

They haven't paid their CC bill yet, so you are essentially charging their CC company... then the bill comes due and they dispute it all.

No CC company wants to be your collections company so they just take it back from you.

Debit card isn't that interesting. It's not much different than an ACH. It pulls when you say pull. Maybe it allows you to attempt at chosen times throughout the day but if no money in the account it'll fail and your processor will get mad pissed if the declines keep coming.

Either way, still problems associated with it. They can block payments very easily, reject charges after the facts, change the card number a lot easier than changing bank account numbers etc.

The bigger issue for CC, and debit if done incorrectly, is that other funders will not see you in the account each day. Stack city is BAD. It's that much worse if the merchant is being even more over-levered because people don't realize you're in the deal.
