UCCs are probably best way to check for outstanding business loans. I've heard fewer alternative lenders are actually filing UCCs for new deals they do. I'm trying to get a gauge on the industry to see roughly what % of alternative lenders are filing. Also, would love to know if traditional banks usually file a UCC for their business loans.

You are correct Nick. The large companies that file for secured lenders are now filing in their own name so the secured party's name never shows up.
