    Stock as Collateral

900,000 of public stock trading at about $3.95/share as collateral for a $1.85mm loan. I have a few avenues to go, but wanted to hear if anyone else had other lenders for this?

Arg! It's Series B preferred shares. That makes this more difficult.

Lenders, no. But he can potentially hire promoter/market maker to make the stock a lot more. It pays better as you get paid in stock. If they're open to it, send me the deal via DM.

This one you have to be really careful who you use. Lots of places that are legit do have you deposit into a verified custodial account which is understandable, but there are several others out there that will actually trade out of the position during the "loan" and those are the majority of them. I know a handful of small PE firms and family offices that I've done it with SANS headache in the past and I'm happy to share them on PM. The last one I did assigned a 50% value to the equity but depended on liquidity in the event of the default. I've seen as high as 70% of the VWAP depending on how long the term is. Most of the groups I've had favorable experiences with are in Southern California. Anyone that you find on a google search on the first 5+ pages is generally not reliable, trust me I've done it years ago and found out who was who. Anyway, it's definitely a niche, but doable.
