Golf Courses in Palm Beach County are closed. They should have closed them weeks ago.

Only if you want the government controlling every aspect of your life.
Maximum group in golf is a foursome - well under the 10 person threshold.

Maybe we could not hang out at the 19th hole - but, a few hours of fresh air cannot be bad.

I've been taking my son golfing at least 2 times a week since this all began - stay away from motorized carts - don't putt into the hole (unless you drop a 20 foot bomb) so you don't have to grab the pin or touch the inside of the cup - obviously don't pull the pin while you are putting. No courses have rakes out by the bunkers...bring Purell and you'll be fine.

How about you do the right thing and stay home.... This is not about the government controlling lives, it's about being smart and not helping spread a virus.

A little golf never killed anyone.....yes it can.....

Kevin - Based upon your theory, grocery stores, pharmacies, auto repair, cannabis shops, liquor stores, medcial offices, hospitals, lawn care, plumbers, electricans, home builders, trash haulers, road maintenace/building should all shut down? Maybe I missed an industry, but this so-called shelter in place does not make much sense.

The 1st case was disclosed January 17, 2020, so in March 2020, we now tell people to shelter in place. When this issue 1st came to light, Congress was busy attempting to Impeach POTUS. Guess it was not critical in January.

    Dave,

This is a very dangerous virus and can spread very easily. I am not suggesting closing all essential businesses. I am suggesting that people need to not be out unless completely necessary. It is common sense..........

If you are a direct funder that will fund my surplus of submissions that in a normal world are 100% fundable, than I'll listen to you and stay home.

It is about control, the state now deems who is essential. Maybe those scared should stay in bubble wrap every flu season

The Flu does not require many to have to be put in an ICU unit and/or hooked up to a ventilator to stay alive. the Flu is no where near as contagious and dangerous as this virus. States are doing this to not overwhelm EMS and hospital systems.

My wife is a manager at a hospital in South Florida. Today she had to turn the pre-op room into an ICU unit with 14 beds because they are already out of ICU rooms....two weeks before the expected peak of this virus. The Flu does not make you run out of ICU rooms every year.
