On a trucker probably 6 months, but if ondecks a 1st doing a 12 month deal i might be able to go out a bit longer... Maybe 7.

Usually most trucking deals are paid net-7 or less, typically next-day, so factoring in place to ensure a consistent & quick cash flow (which I figure is what you were aiming at) doesn't really make a difference. Factoring in place on a trucking deal increases risk substantially as you will not have first right to receive.

It was, but not so much about the quick and consistent cash flow. Its more about the merchant having more to lose if the deal goes bad - So in my opinion it makes the deal less likely to default.

Yes a new funder would be primed by the factor in the UCC stack, but if a B level trucking merchant isn't factoring his invoices- it begs the question for the underwriter- why not? Or why won't the factors work with them?
