Direct Lending & QS
Anyone know what this is about?. The article stated that Direct Lending may have overvalued its investment in QS and the matter was reported to SEC. VOIP Guardian was the borrower who defaulted for $191.3M to Direct Lending and filed for BK

read that, but, it was very vague on the connection with QS and what it actually means.
"the fund has historically earned investors unlevered double digit returns by investing in marketplaces like Biz2Credit, OnDeck, DealStruck, RealtyMogul, IOU Central, QuarterSpot and others. "Last edited by fundingsmbs; 03-20-2019 at 02:35 PM.

It appears that Direct Lending was desperate to get money out the door. The VoIP company was funded $161 for loans and 30 million for operating. So as an investor in the fund, am I taking credit risk or operating risk? Did I sign up for operating risk? It’s possible that the quarterspot investment was a combination of the two as well. So while you could transfer the portfolio to another entity for servicing, the operating investment is at risk. An 8% return does not properly compensate a credit investor for taking on operational risk.

Good lord! This dude Brendan and CEO of quarterspot are scum. Worse than I thought. Brendan is a straight up crook. It’s funny how the main speakers at Lendit end up being the biggest frauds.

Its very sad most that most guys at the top either got there or stay there by committing fraud or some type of unethical behavior.

Nobody. Someone said they went down the drain, but don't think they meant out of business.
