    National Funding - Customer Service?

Why don't they issue payoff letters to their customers? Who is the manager over there Re: National Funding - San Diego, CA

Anytime someone asks a funder for a payoff letter the funder's alarms start going off. The reason for that is because that's what's usually needed in order to get a stack, and needless to say funders hate getting stacked. When I was at the broker fair there was a panel of 4 CEO's discussing various things about MCA. One thing that stuck out the most was when David Gilbert (National's CEO) stressed how much he hated it when companies stack National.

Hence, the reason why you're having difficulty getting the payoff letter.

Why would a second pos require a payoff? They just hop the deal based on the deals own merits. They look at the daily or weekly payments they are currently in when making offers, but rarely ask for a payoff? If you req a payoff its because you are planning on paying off the balance and do a diff deal with another first pos company usually. And the reason the pause for it is to try and retain the customer. It triggers retention to call
merchant and see whats going on.

As far as them not liking seconds, thats a large part of the business today. Some shops report as much as 50% of their income today is seconds+
