We had a saying when we were stockbrokers....closing line on scripts I wrote


"We may not pick the high, we may not pick the low...( dropping voice talk fast for inflection) but we are going to make a whole hell of a lot of money in the middle!"


Anytime anyone has a fear of Regulation...it causes a massive sell-off. This is a very hard concept for people to understand. You have to think the opposite of the crowd. And you will always be the odd man or woman out with the opposite advice with the crowd attacking you.

Live and Learn...move against the crowd to make money...smart money is selling INTO the highs, and buying a plot of land that people think is a garbage dump or swamp-land and worthless( being laughed at) that either becomes Manhattan or Florida.

Old folk lore has it that Kennedy avoided the Great depression and said" When the shoeshine boy is giving you tips, its time to leave the market"...a concept furthered by Bernard Baruch or attributed to him ( depends on source)
